Introduce a little bit of active movement with Freeze! This action pairs well with Cross the Midline and Monkey Movement, as children practice moving and freezing on cue.

Some of our favorite activities with this movement are Frosty Says and The Runaway Pumpkin. Both engage children in themed yoga poses and active movement, for a total body workout. 

Step 1
Begin by engaging in active movement, such as Run in Place or Cross the Midline.

Step 2
When you hear “FREEZE”, jump your legs out and put your hands up.

Step 3
Return to your active movement and repeat, or relax your body in Mountain Pose.
