
Balancing Table turns Table Pose into a core strengthening kids yoga activity! Children strengthen their arms and legs, as they stretch and reach for items they can put onto their table.
Some of our favorite kids yoga activities that incorporate Balancing Table are Pizza Party and Birthday Cake! Both are fun and easy ways to bring yoga into elementary schools, preschool, or yoga class.
Step 1
Begin in Table Pose.
Step 2
Lift one leg so that it is parallel with the floor, and point your toes behind you.
Step 3
Life your opposite arm, and point your fingers in front of you.
Step 4
Hold this pose for a couple of breaths, then gently lower your arm and leg to your mat.
Step 5
Repeat with your opposite leg and arm.
