Crescent Moon Pose is an excellent full-body stretch! It’s easy to use in a classroom, while students stand behind their chairs. It’s also a favorite with any space-themed activity.
For classroom use, find Crescent Moon Pose in Classroom Movement. Our most popular book that focuses on the moon is Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me.
Begin in Mountain Pose.
Raise your hands over your head, pressing your palms together.
Slowly bend your body to one side.
Keep your hands pressed together, and return your body to standing up straight.
Repeat by bending to your opposite side.
Straighten your body, and lower your arms to your sides, returning to Mountain Pose.
