Chair Pose is  a strength-building yoga pose that kids of all ages can benefit from. Children stretch their upper body, as they sit in their yoga chairs or turn into strong bolts of lightening!

In Storm Watchers, children create a thunderstorm with their bodies, and end in a calmer state of mind. Or take a seat in Birthday Zoo, during a fun game of musical chairs! Both are designed to use in classrooms or yoga studios.

To encourage breathing in this pose, pretend you are in a thunderstorm, and make a crashing sound as you turn your body into a lightening bolt.

Step 1
Begin in Mountain Pose.

Step 2
Bend your knees, as you lift your arms towards the ceiling. Make sure your palms are facing each other!

Step 3
Hold this pose for a couple of breaths.

Step 4
Slowly return to Mountain Pose, by lowering your arms and straightening your knees.
