Upward Plank Pose is a fun and challenging yoga pose, that helps kids to improve their posture and strengthen their back muscles! To introduce this core-strengthening pose, have children start in Reverse Table, and slowly walk their feet out as they feel ready for a new challenge.

Our most popular books with Upward Plank Pose are Harold’s Circus and Quick as a Cricket.

Step 1
Begin in Reverse Table

Step 2
Straighten your legs out, one at a time.

Step 3
Lift your hips up to the ceiling, and allow your head to relax back.

Step 4
Hold this pose for a couple of breaths, then release your body to sitting.
