Salabhasana

Sanke Pose is a fun and challenging yoga pose that kids (and adults!) of all ages benefit from. For animal-themed kids yoga activities, you can find this pose in African Safari and Chinese Zodiac Animals!

Use Snake Pose to relieve stress, strengthen legs, and build core strength. Children will also develop their concentration, as they focus lifting both their chest and feet of the floor!

Children might find it easier to have arms bent, with hands underneath shoulders. For a challenge, extend arms alongside the body, with fingers pointed towards toes. To help encourage breathing in this pose, hiss like a snake!

Step 1
Begin by laying on your stomach.

Step 2
Lift your head, upper body, arms, and feet off the floor.

Step 3
Hold this position for a couple of breaths, then gently release your body to your mat.
