Supta Baddha Konasana

Reclining Bound Angle Pose is an easy and calming yoga pose that kids of all ages benefit from. Children will stretch their legs, improve their circulation, and relax in this pose. 

Children will find themselves in a calmer and more restful state of mind, as they enjoy deep breathing with their eyes closed . This pose is an excellent way to lay while children practice Belly Breathing

As a fun introduction to this pose, teach children how to say its name in Sanskrit!

Step 1
Begin in Cobbler Pose.

Step 2
Slowly lower your upper body to your mat, using your hands to help you down.

Step 3
Rest your hands on your stomach, or on your mat beside you.

Step 4
Hold this pose for as long as you are comfortable, up to 5 minutes.

Step 5
When you are finished, use your hands to fold your knees together, roll onto your side, then return to a seated position.
