Rainbow Pose provides an easy, full body stretch for kids of all ages! Children improve their coordination, as they stretch into beautiful rainbows.
Some of our favorite weather-themed kids yoga activities with rainbows are Storm Watchers and Build a Rainbow! Both are fun and easy ways to bring yoga into schools, daycares, or yoga class.
To encourage breathing, say the colors of the rainbow while holding this pose!
Step 1
Begin on your knees, with the tops of your feet resting flat.
Step 2
Drop your hand to one side, and arch your other arm over your head.
Step 3
Hold this pose for a couple of breaths, then lower your arm to your side.
Step 4
Repeat on your opposite side.
