Outdoor yoga games are a fun group activity – encouraging teamwork, creativity, and large muscle movement. Here are some of our most popular yoga adventures – all themed for summer fun in the sun!
Summer themed Yoga Games
Let’s Go Fly a Kite
It’s time to fly a kite with yoga poses! When this adventure is complete, for a calming mindfulness project, have children create their own kites. For younger children, they can simply decorate a diamond-shaped piece of paper with a string attached. It will be fun to hang on their walls at home! As children get older, work with them to create a kite that they can actually fly!
Garden Tag
Celebrate summer with a game of garden tag! This game is best played in an open space, where kids are able to move their bodies freely. At daycares and summer camps, play this game in a grassy outdoor area. You can also easily bring this game into any open space, like a gym or yoga studio when kids can’t go outside.
Busy Bugs
There are so many fun ways to turn bodies into bugs! In this yoga game, little yogis explore all kinds of 6- and 8-legged creatures with yoga poses. This game is loved by boys and girls ages preschool – 3rd grade!
