Three-Legged Dog is a fun and animal-themed yoga pose that kids of all ages enjoy! For animal-themed yoga activities, children can wave their tail in The Mitten and Chinese Zodiac Animals.
Use Three-Legged Dog to improve balance, strengthen legs, and increase core strength. Children will also develop their coordination, as they focus on lifting one leg and then the other.
Step 1
Begin in Downward Facing Dog.
Step 2
Lift one leg, and hold it for a couple of breaths.
Step 3
Slowly lower your leg to your mat, then repeat with your opposite leg.
Step 4
To release, lower your knees to your mat.
